As the Director of Instructional Design and Training, Dr. Nicola Wayer is responsible for leading TN eCampus instructional design and training functions. Nicola oversees the development, design, implementation, and system-wide coordination of a comprehensive instructional design and training program for TN eCampus staff, faculty, students, and campuses. She serves as project manager for instructional design and training efforts across the cooperative.
Prior to joining TN eCampus in 2016, Dr. Wayer was the Director of Instructional Design at Champlain College in Vermont. Dr. Wayer has extensive experience working at PK-12, post-secondary, and graduate levels of education as an instructor, curriculum developer, instructional designer, technology integrationist, accessibility specialist, and researcher. She holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Florida, a Master of Education degree from University of North Florida, and a bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from Flagler College.
