Web Page Authoring Certificate

Overview

The Web Page Authoring certificate program prepares students for employment in a variety of careers that require web page creation. Emphasis is placed on design issues and the front-end of website design. Program courses are designed to develop skills in writing HTML code for  web pages with graphics and styled text, creating and incorporating optimized graphics for speedy transmission, designing web pages for ease of use and navigation, uploading web pages to a server, and understanding legal issues as they apply to the web. Courses in this certificate program match the coursework covered in the first year of the Web Technology AAS degree program. 


Certificate Availability

The Web Page Authoring certificate can be obtained online through several community colleges. Select a community college from the list below to find out more about the degree program. Upon completion, your certificate will be awarded and conferred by the institution you select as your home school. 

Columbia State Community College - This certificate program has been terminated effective Fall 2016. Students currently enrolled must complete the certificate by August 31, 2017. If you are currently enrolled, see your academic advisor for guidance.
Roane State Community College - This certificate program is being terminated effective Fall 2016. Students currently enrolled must complete the certificate by December 2017. Consult your academic advisor for guidance.
Walters State Community College - This certificate program is being terminated effective Fall 2017; phased-out ends Spring 2018.
