A proctor is a person who administers mid-term and/or final exams.
Students are responsible for identifying an appropriate proctor and setting up arrangements for taking a test according to specific guidelines. Instructors will review and approve your proctor selection.
Steps for Obtaining a Proctor at a TBR Testing Site
Step 1: Choose any Board of Regents institution from the list of TBR Proctor Sites. (new window)
Step 2: Select your testing site from the TBR Proctor Sites link in Step 1. Follow the directions provided by the testing center for obtaining a proctor at the location you have selected. Some testing sites require you to schedule your appointments online, while others may specify telephone or email as their preferred method for scheduling proctored exams. If email is the preferred method for scheduling, please provide the following information in your email:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Instructor's name
- Instructor's email (outside of D2L)
- Instructor's phone number
- Course name
- Course number
- Semester and year
- Date and time proctor appointment is needed
Note: Call the proctor if you do not get a timely response by email.
Step 3: If your proctor is located at a TBR testing center, all pertinent information will be updated on a secure website.
Step 4: All proctors must be approved by the course instructor in a timely manner prior to the test.
